The Five Heartbeats actor Michael Wright has died at 70

Actor Michael Wright has reportedly passed away, according to his wife, Susan Wright, and former fellow castmate Leon, who starred alongside him in the 1991 film The Five Heartbeats.

Leon posted on Instagram, "We made History together, we were honored together, you made your mark, and for that you will be remembered, my friend. Michael Wright RIP🙏🏾."

His wife stated on Instagram, "It is with profound sadness and an unimaginable heaviness in my heart that I share the passing of my beloved husband, Michael Wright," she wrote. She continued, "Michael, your work will live forever, but your love will live even longer in the hearts of those who knew you best."

Wright, an extremely talented actor, had starring and memorable roles in Sugar Hill, The Principal, Point Blank, Money Talks, The Dollhouse Murders, and many other films. The veteran actor was most remembered for his role as Eddie King Jr. in The Five Heartbeats.
