The US House passes the Crown Act. The Senate still has to vote in the act before it becomes a law.


Dreads, braids, and other natural hairstyles are frequently banned in several professional and academic settings. Therefore, the Crown (Creating a Respectful and Open World for Natural Hair) was created to protect natural and ethnic styles from discrimination in school and work environments.
