Terence "Bud" Crawford's son won the Nebraska high school state wrestling title as a freshman

Boxing legend Terence "Bud" Crawford's son, Terence Crawford Jr., has won a state wrestling title in Nebraska. Crawford Jr., a freshman at Omaha North High School, competed in the 106-pound weight class. He concluded his freshman season with an impressive record of 36 wins and 6 losses, according to Sports Illustrated.

Crawford's son shared his feelings about his accomplishment with Neb Preps, “It feels great,” Crawford said. “I just had to be dominant out there. I expect what I train for, so I know if I am training hard, then the results will show for themselves.”

Crawford Junior is following in his father's athletic footsteps. Bud also wrestled in Omaha during his youth before focusing on boxing.

The recent family victory follows Bud's defeat of Canelo Alvarez in 2025, along with his retirement from boxing, while maintaining a flawless record of 42 wins and 0 losses.

The world champion congratulated his son on Instagram by sharing a carousel of images and videos that captured his excitement, along with responses from other media outlets about his victory. Jr.'s mother, Alindra Person, also took to social media to congratulate her son, stating, "Proud mom is an understatement!!! Congratulations again son all that discipline and hard work paid off big time."
