Michael K. Williams' book Scenes from my Life: A Memoir is now available. The late actor worked on this project until his untimely death in 2021.
His most memorable role is Omar Little on the HBO series The Wire. After landing other substantial television and film roles, Williams became a reasonably accomplished actor before his passing. He was always open with the public about his troubled life and battles with drug addiction. The actor met his demise after overdosing on heroin and fentanyl in his apartment. The drug dealer who reportedly sold him the narcotics was charged with his death after video footage of their transaction was caught on surveillance.
Williams is a very celebrated artist whose talents are greatly missed.
