Iowa's Governor Signed a Bill That Bans Transgender Girls from Competing in Girls' Sports

Iowa’s Governor, Kim Reynolds, signed a bill yesterday regarding transgender females in competitive sports. The bill states that transgender girls and women can’t participate in female athletics.

The transgender debate is highly controversial; however, many feel that since transgender girls were born as males, they will have a significant athletic advantage over naturally-born females because males are physically faster and stronger than females.

Some Iowans feel that the bill is discriminatory against transgender females. Yet, many Iowans support the bill.
