Two people are in custody in connection with the murder of a beloved Philadelphia school teacher Rachel King. Rachel was gunned down in the drive-through at a Dunkin' Donuts near downtown Philadelphia as her 11-year-old son watched on April 11.

During a press conference, the Montgomery County District Attorney, Kevin Steele, announced that Julie Jean, 34, and Zakkee Alhakim, 33, were arrested for the murder. Julie allegedly had an affair with Rachel's boyfriend, and after her boyfriend broke off the relationship, she reportedly stalked the couple and hired Zakkee to murder Rachel. According to Fox News, Zakkee is cousins with the father of Julie's children. He knew her whereabouts and followed Rachel to Dunkin' Donuts on the morning of her murder after planning her death for months.

Julie and Zakkee are charged with first-degree murder and conspiracy. Since his arrest, Zakkee has also been charged with murdering James "Chris" Farrell Jr, according to 6ABC. However, the authorities are unable to determine a motive for this case. The gunman is allegedly a "hitman" in the Philadelphia area. Rachel's family, community, and students miss her dearly, as she's described as a devoted teacher and mother. To follow this story and other updates and news, please subscribe to Volume82.com.
