Former NBA star Shaquille O'Neal and former LSU basketball star Flau’jae Johnson both walked the stage at LSU's spring commencement ceremony.
Shaq attended LSU during his initial college career. He left without graduating in 1992 to enter the NBA draft. He returned to complete his Bachelor’s degree in 2000. Last week, Shaq returned to LSU to earn his Master of Arts. This is reportedly Shaq's second Master's degree. He also holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix and a Doctor of Education from Barry University.
O'Neal is also currently the President of Basketball at Reebok, handling the brand's player partnerships and basketball initiatives. Allen Iverson works next to him as Reebok's Vice President.

LSU’s basketball star and NCAA Women’s champion, Flau’jae, graduated with her Bachelor of Arts after ending her basketball season as the 8th WNBA 2026 draft pick. The Golden State Valkyries drafted Flau'jae, then traded her to the Seattle Storm. As a freshman, the LSU shooting guard was a part of the 2023 championship team that earned the LSU women's basketball team its first title under Coach Kim Mulkey.
During her career at LSU, the Savannah, Georgia native was honored as a Two-time AP and USBWA Third-Team All-American, a member of the John R. Wooden All-American Team, and a Naismith All-America Team member.

The former student-athlete also had a rap career during her LSU tenure. She released the albums Flau & B and 4 My Fans during her college career. As a child, she appeared on one season of The Rap Game and America's Got Talent.

Flau'jae reportedly had NIL endorsements and partnerships with e.l.f. Cosmetics, Puma, The Athlete's Foot, Samsung, Meta, Experian, MassMutual, TurboTax, JBL Audio, Amazon, Powerade, Oreo, and BODYARMOR. The former Lady Tiger is reported to have ended her college career with an estimated net worth of between $7 million and $9 million. The shooting guard's rookie WNBA contract is $1,386,092, featuring a $309,622 base salary, according to CNBC.
