Sha'Carri Richardson won the 100m at the ATHLOS meet in London, setting a new meet record

Sha’Carri Richardson won first place in the 100m at the 2026 ATHLOS track meet in London last Friday, setting a new meet record.

The track star clocked the winning time of 10.80 seconds, taking home a custom Tiffany & Co. crown as the winner!

Sha’Carri just sprang back into action after taking third place when losing to Melissa Jefferson-Wooden at the World Athletics Ultimate Championship in Budapest on September 12th, after Melissa ran an astonishing 10.62, and Julien Alfred finished in second place, with a time of 10.74 seconds.

However, Sha'Carri and Wooden ran extremely close times in July at the Prefontaine Classic, where Melissa won the 100m in 10.78 seconds, and Sha'Carri finished second in 10.79 seconds.

The running mates have succeeded together as well. At the 2024 Olympics, Richardson anchored Team USA's 4x100 relay, which won gold. Melissa was the first leg on that relay.

Sha'Carri started her professional career after leaving LSU's track program, where she broke the women's NCAA record in the 100-meter dash.

While discussing her 2026 season, during press time at ATHLOS, she said, "What keeps me steady and consistent and becoming better every year is trying to beat myself from the year prior. I want to be a continuous contender when it comes to the 100. The 100 is a very competitive race every year. There's more ladies getting faster. So it just makes me work on myself more and more."
