The Philadelphia Eagle's quarterback Jalen Hurts has signed with the Jordan brand! According to Sports Illustrated, the NFL star is the third NFL player to sign with the brand.
Jalen is overly excited that the NBA legend Michael Jordan welcomed him into the brand; he provided the following statement to CBS Sports, "It's an honor to be a part of that family and to be able to rep that. I've been in touch with him and he's a great person, a great mentor, and very helpful."
After playing with the University of Alabama and the University of Oklahoma during college, Hurts was drafted by the NFL in 2020. Despite coming off the bench for part of his rookie season, he had an impressive first year, which enabled him to start for the Eagles during part of the season. Jalen made a significant impact during the 2023 Super Bowl, finishing the game with the most rushing yards and rushing touchdowns by a quarterback in the history of the Super Bowl. This April, Hurts also signed a $255 million contract extension, making him one of the highest paid players in NFL history!
Congrats, Jalen!
