Shedeur Sanders' prankster was revealed, and the NFL has fined the Atlanta Falcons as a result. The league fined the Falcons $250K and its defensive coordinator, Jeff Ulbrich, $100K for failing to prevent the disclosure of confidential information.

According to multiple sources, (Jax Ulbrich) the son of Jeff Ulbrich, accessed Shedeur's phone number from his father's unlocked iPad during the draft.

On the second day of the NFL draft, a video surfaced on social media of someone impersonating New Orleans Saints general manager Mickey Loomis, telling Sanders, "We're going to take you with our next pick, man, but you're going to have to wait a little bit longer, man. Sorry about that."

Jax Ulbrich wrote in his post that what he did was "completely inexcusable, embarrassing, and shameful." He stated, "I'm so sorry I took away from your moment, it was selfish and childish," Jax noted in his Instagram post. "I could never imagine getting ready to celebrate one of the greatest moments of your life and I made a terrible mistake and messed with that moment. Thank you for accepting my call earlier today, I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me."

Shedeur is reportedly unbothered by the situation despite the controversy surrounding the draft. Sanders stated, "It didn't really have an impact on me, because it was just like, I mean, OK, like I don't feed into negativity, or I don't feed into that stuff. You've seen on Deion [Sanders] Jr.'s YouTube video my reaction to it, I don't— it is what it is. I think, of course, it is childish. Of course, I feel like it was a childish act, but everybody does childish things here and there."

The former University of Colorado star was expected to be drafted as the first-round draft pick yet was not selected until the fifth round. Sanders' late draft pick was met with significant media scrutiny. Some spectators accused the rookie of being "arrogant" and claimed he failed interviews with perspective teams. Fans of Shedeur and the Sanders family felt that his late draft pick was racially motivated.

However, Sanders feels he'll fit in "perfectly" with the Browns. His brother, Shilo, was picked up by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as a free agent after the draft.
