Woman in NYC Arrested After Violent Confrontation with Pro-Life Activist During a 'Live Action Org' Street Interview.

What started as a positive exchange between pro-life journalist Savannah Craven, representing Live Action Org, and New York City resident Brianna J. Rivers, quickly escalated into violence during a debate on abortion rights.

Various versions of the interview are available online, but the discussion intensified as they explored the rationale behind their opposing views on abortion. Rivers told Craven that she felt her stance on abortion is "obstructed." The interviewee said that in general, she feels she should have the option to have an abortion if she doesn't want to have a child. Craven replied, "just don't have sex then." Rivers said she felt Craven should have statistics about the number of children who are, "abused," "molested," and used as personal "slaves" when they go into foster care, and therefore doesn't see foster care as a viable option for unwanted children. This debate ultimately led to Brianna striking Savannah multiple times, causing her face to bleed.

In response to the incident, Brianna issued a public apology on social media, stating: "To Savannah, I sincerely apologize but cannot sit idle and allow you to continue pushing this one-sided narrative. I understand that putting hands on someone is never the answer, but throwing stones and hiding hands is worse. She knows the truth, and she needs to release the footage in its entirety. Savannah is a professional antagonist, not a 'reporter,' and the truth will be told."

According to the New York Post, Brianna was arrested on Thursday. Before her arrest, Rivers reportedly initiated a GoFundMe page to hire a defense attorney, raising $8,695, although the page is no longer visible on the platform.

Social media has been in an uproar over the incident, with a range of reactions. Some users have defended Rivers' actions, claiming that Craven deserved being hit after "gaslighting" her interviewee. One TikTok user remarked, "She's not a journalist; she's an antagonist." Another said, "Don't rage bait in NY. People don't care about an assault charge. They'll take their anger management classes and move on." Another TikTok user added, "Took that smirk right off her face 🤣🤣."
