According to Yahoo News, Nicki Minaj's husband, Kenneth Petty, was placed on house arrest for three months after threatening the Migos rapper Offset. Petty and what appeared to be three other men can be seen on camera calling out Offset while allegedly standing outside the rapper's hotel. The video doesn't clearly say what transpired between the two men; however, it's rumored that Petty took offense to Offset's remarks at the VMAs. Their wives, Nicki Minaj and Cardi B, have been music industry rivals for some time. Minaj's husband taunted the Migos group member on camera by saying, "Plan that vacation; you gonna be planning your funeral, pussy!" Offset allegedly responded to Petty's remarks by telling his fans in a video, "I'm getting off a jet, and he's funny," and said Petty was "outside" and "extremely broke!"
According to YN, "On Wednesday, a judge for the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California ordered Petty to 120 days of home detention after determining that he had violated the terms of a 2022 probation agreement. The conditions of the order include electronic monitoring, GPS, and alcohol monitoring."
Petty has been in recent trouble with the law; Thomas Weidenmuller, a former security guard for Minaj who alleges he was punched in the face by Petty, is suing the couple for damages. He also reportedly failed to register as a sex offender in California in 2021 and was forced by the courts to settle a lawsuit with a woman who accused him of sexual assaulting her in 1994.
