Mary J. Blige Sued for Millions by Her Long Time Stylist Misa Hylton, Over Ruining a Business Relationship with Rapper Vado

According to multiple reports, Mary J. Blige was sued for $5 million by her former friend and long-time stylist, Misa Hylton, over sabotaging a business relationship with the rapper Vado.

According to several reports, Misa and her talent agency, M.I.S.A. Management, allege that Mary J. Blige and her company, Beautiful Life Productions, sabotaged their business relationship with rapper Vado by refusing to release his album or allowing him to tour unless he severed ties with the trend-setting stylist.

Misa reportedly had a contractual agreement to manage Vado and accused Blige of interfering with the agreement by encouraging the rapper to break the contract or forfeit the release of his project. Misa's agency was reportedly entitled to 20 percent of the rapper's earnings.

Vibe reports that documents claim Mary and her team held "private yacht gatherings, hotel meetings, and exclusive events," which excluded Misa as they met with Vado. The documents also reportedly claim that Blige's head security guard, described in the lawsuit as her boyfriend, wanted to sign Vado and told him he would "lose out on opportunities" if he stayed with Misa.

Vado reportedly signed with M.I.S.A. Management on July 25, 2023, and later signed with Blige's Beautiful Life Productions on October 1, 2023.

Hylton and Blige were known as an inseparable duo. The two began collaborating in the early '90s when Mary J. Blige released her debut album, "What's the 411?," which was executive produced by Misa's then-boyfriend, Sean 'Diddy' Combs.

Throughout the years, Hylton and Blige appeared to have a well-fortified bond and were commonly seen together for business, social, and personal purposes. Blige is reportedly Misa's son, Justin Comb's godmother.
