Former lawyer, politician, journalist, media producer, Mayor of Cincinnati, and long-time talk show host of the self-titled show Jerry Springer has died at 79. According to BBC News, his publicist confirmed he died at his Chicago home.

Jerry was born in London and immigrated to New York with his parents as a child. He had a lengthy career in politics, journalism, and law, which eventually landed him the opportunity to host the uber-popular Jerry Springer show from 1991-2018. Before retiring, he also worked on America's Got Talent, Judge Jerry, and The Jerry Springer Podcast.
