Bank of America Vice President randomly killed in Times Square after celebrating accomplishments and the birth of her daughter with husband

Bank of America’s Vice President of Business Selections and Conflicts, Erin Piacenti, was stabbed to death in Times Square on Monday while celebrating her accomplishments with her husband, which included the recent birth of their daughter.

The Fordham Law School graduate, who reportedly just returned to work at Bank of America from her maternity leave, was stabbed by a stranger, Pamela Cisneros, in Times Square. Cisneros also stabbed a 68-year-old man who was exiting the subway with his wife before fatally injuring Erin. The male victim was expected to recover from his injuries, according to multiple news outlets.

Photos and videos of Cisneros waving knives have surfaced online. The suspect was shot to death by the New York City police, so her motive remains unclear. However, according to NBC News, Officers spoke to her for four minutes and fired stun guns at her, but they were not effective in stopping Cisneros. That's when officers opened fire, killing Cisneros.

NBC also reported that Cisneros, a 49-year-old from Queens, had a documented history of mental health concerns dating back to 2018 and 2019, but she had no criminal history. In 2018, she was reportedly screaming and acting erratically at a building on Lexington Avenue on the East Side of Manhattan. In 2019, she apparently tried to, or claimed she was going to, take her life by jumping in front of the subway at Union Turnpike in Queens.

Cisneros family spoke to FOX 5, explaining that although she suffered greatly from mental health related issues, she'd never been violent. They were completely surprised by Monday's stabbings.

Erin's family created a GoFundMe for her daughter and husband. To date, the account has raised nearly $800,000.
