Kendrick Lamar Is Moving On: He Will Release His Last Album with Top Dawg Entertainment Next Month

Kendrick Lamar announced that he's releasing a new album, Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers, on May 13th. However, this project is his last album with Top Dawg Entertainment-the only musical home that he's known. The rap phenom plans to move forward with his own company, pgLang, which he developed with Dave Free, former president of Top Dawg Entertainment.

Kendrick has received great mainstream success during his tenure at Top Dawg Entertainment. In 2017, his album Damn won the Pulitzer Prize. Also, during his season with TDE, Kendrick won 161 awards, including Grammy Awards, Billboard Music Awards, an ASCAP Award, and several award nominations, including an Oscar nod for his music on the Black Panther Soundtrack.

His upcoming journey without TDE will undoubtedly be unchartered territory, but his musical genius is guaranteed to carry him to great lengths.
