Chris Brown was given an eight-month suspended sentence following his trial for a fight with music producer Abraham Diaw in a London nightclub in 2023. The singer won’t have to serve jail time as long as he follows the judge’s conditions.

Chris was accused of kicking and hitting the producer in the head with a tequila bottle during the fight. He faced a maximum sentence of 3 years in prison.

The “Residuals” singer pleaded guilty to affray, which is when two or more people fight publicly and make citizens fear for their safety.

The judge told the music star, “I take account of your employment and long-established career in music…Your fame, commercial success and professional standing do not entitle you to special treatment. The law applies equally to everyone."

Brown’s vocal coach, Omololu Akinlolu, also pleaded guilty in court to the same charges.

Due to his legal issues, Brown dropped some cities from his current arena tour (The R&B Tour), which he’s co-headlining with Usher. Their team added additional dates to the tour following the court ruling.
