Jay-Z lit up the stage as he appeared to address several entertainment industry feuds, while performing many of his hits at The Roots Picnic—an annual music festival held in Philadelphia.

Aside from making guest appearances during Beyoncé's recent tours, the music legend has been on a hiatus for years and hasn't released an album since 2017. While performing for a packed outdoor crowd, Jay-Z addressed his former business partner Damon Dash, Jaguar Wright, Drake, Nicki Minaj, Tory Lanez, and Kanye West.

Jaguar Wright and Damon Dash have especially attempted to soil Jay-Z's name in the entertainment industry, with Kanye West not far behind. Nicki Minaj went viral in 2025 while ranting about Jay-Z. She claimed that the Brooklyn rapper owes her $200 million from her stake in his streaming company, Tidal.

While seemingly addressing Nicki on stage at the festival, Jigga stated, "That lady back on the stuff, she sound like she in love with him. Ken can't even... take they kids"... While alluding to Damon Dash, he stated, "Ni**a's teeth is tumbling out their mouth and somehow, I'm the one whodunnit, it's a murder mystery, gang." In reference to Jaguar Wright, Jay said, "Quest introduced me to Jaguar, I don't know why I still f**k with him!” Among other criticisms, the "Already Home" rapper mocked Drake for not owning his music publishing rights. He said, "Don't talk success to me, you ni**as is workers..in perpetuity is how your contract is worded."

The next day, Damon Dash appeared to respond to Jay's performance on Instagram. Dame tagged Jay in his post, which featured an AI-altered image of the music mogul on stage, with his face edited to resemble Disney's Goofy character wearing sunglasses.

Despite his references about his adversaries, Jay appeared to thoroughly enjoy the audience during his set. At one point, the crowd screamed "Beyoncé," he playfully replied, "She's not working tonight, y'all cut that shit out!" He then told the crowd that they weren't "satisfied" and that he couldn't give them enough! Jay said, "You wan't this pocket too, huh?"

The audience exploded when Jay reunited with former Roc-A-Fella artists, Beanie Sigel and Freeway on stage to perform "What We Do." He also brought out Philly natives Jazmine Sullivan and Meek Mill.

Fans will have another opportunity to see the Roc-A-Fella legend from July 10-12 at Yankee Stadium in New York for a concert celebrating the 30th anniversary of his debut album, Reasonable Doubt.
