According to Newsweek, former talk show host Ellen DeGeneres and her partner, Portia De Rossi, purchased a property in the Cotswolds (United Kingdom), a popular area about two hours from London. They reportedly decided to relocate following the U.S. election.

E-News said the couple plans to sell their residence in Montecito, California, and are leaving the United States due to the presidential election's outcome. Like many Americans, Ellen supported Kamala Harris and questioned Trump's ability to lead the nation properly.

Although neither DeGeneres nor De Rossi have made statements about the reason for their relocation, TMZ reported that the couple decided "to get the hell out" of the U.S. before the Trump administration got into office. After all, many same-sex couples are concerned with how the Trump administration's new policies may impact their lives.

DeGeneres has reportedly exited from the entertainment business. She stated that her Netflix special For Your Approval would be her final production for Hollywood.
