Chris Brown responded to comments made by former The Cheetah Girls star Kiely Williams about his domestic violence situation with Rihanna in 2009. Williams made the following statement about Chris on Twitter, "Let him come out with his own record-so genius, so captivating that it makes us all forget HE BEATS WOMEN. He can't so he won't. So what does he do? He slowly creeps back into the mainstream by getting small nods for features on Black Women's merit. Black women who are more talented, more worthy, but give him the okay. I am swatting the fucking air rn. Garbage."
Her comments came after his new song "How Does It Feel" with singer Chloe Bailey was promoted. Chris responded via his Instagram story by stating, "IF Y'ALL STILL HATE ME FOR A MISTAKE I MADE AS A 17 YEAR OLD PLEASE KISS MY WHOLE ENTIRE ASS. I'M FUCKING 33! I'M SO TIRED OF Y'ALL RUNNING WIT THIS NARRATIVE..YOU WEIRD ASS N-GGAS are the SAME ONES THAT TUNE IN EVERY WEEK TO SEE BLUEFACE & CHRISEAN BEAT THE SHIT OUT EACH OTHER IN FRONT OF THE WORLD."
He also responded directly to Kiely by mocking her lyrics to an old song. Chris criticized the former 3LW star for being sexually promiscuous during her youth in the entertainment industry by leaving remarks under the most recent video she posted on her Instagram account, calling her "Miss Amtrak," etc. Chris furthered to say he feels Black entertainers are never forgiven and are targeted more by “cancel culture” than white artists. He posted a list of white artists who have also committed domestic violence yet have been allowed to continue their careers without ridicule.
Chris is currently on a European tour. He's sold almost 200 million albums worldwide. Years ago, Rihanna stated, "I have forgiven Chris Brown; I truly love him." Brown is now a father of three, and Rihanna is a billionaire and soon-to-be mother of two with her partner, ASAP Rocky. She revealed her second pregnancy during the 2023 Super Bowl halftime show.
