Cardi B pleaded guilty to two charges of physical violence from 2018 in court today. The entertainer was charged with assault and reckless endangerment after participating in two brawls in separate New York City strip clubs.
Allegedly after a dispute with bartenders in Angels Strip Club, her entourage physically attacked the staff, leaving at least one person injured. The full details of the second indictment are unclear at this time. As a result, the rapper, whose real name is Belcalis Almánzar, must serve 15 days of community service and follow a protective order for her victims.
The songstress did release the following statement as a result of the situation: "Part of growing up and maturing is being accountable for your actions." As a mother, it's a practice that I am trying to instill in my children, but the example starts with me. I've made some bad decisions in my past that I am not afraid to face and own up to. These moments don't define me and they are not reflective of who I am now. I'm looking forward to moving past this situation with my family and friends and getting back to the things I love the most -- the music and my fans."
