Beyoncé's Part Two of 'Renaissance' Touches on Growing Up Fast As a Young Entertainer, Her Father's Infidelity, and the Cost of Stardom "At 15, the Innocence Was Gone Astray"

Beyoncé is teasing her new country sound for the Renaissance: Act II album, which reportedly comes out on March 29. She's released two songs from the album "16 Carriages" and "Texas Hold' Em." Act II follows the Renaissance album and its uber-successful tour and movie. The tour grossed $579.8 million and sold 2.8 million tickets worldwide, according to Billboard. Beyoncé's oldest daughter, Blu Ivy, performed with Bey for the first time during the tour. Renaissance also won four Grammys in 2023.

The Houston songbird no longer conducts interviews and has been extremely tight-lipped about her personal life and rarely gives the media even the slightest bit of information to run with; however, "16 Carriages" from the upcoming album touches on the woes of growing up fast as a teenager in the entertainment industry and the disappointments her family experienced from her father, Matthew Knowles' continuous marital affairs. Matthew was the singer's former manager and creator of the group Destiny's Child, which launched the Houston singer's career. 

It was rumored that Knowles had a plethora of marital affairs while married to Beyonce's mother, Tina Knowles, and reportedly fathered a child with another woman, eventually leading to his and Tina's divorce after thirty years of marriage in 2011. In "16 Carriages Reveals," the singer touches on her young life and family dynamic, "At 15, the innocence was gone astray, had to take care of home at an early age. I saw Mama crying, I saw Daddy lyin. Had to sacrifice and leave my fears behind; for legacy if it's the last thing I do."

Act II will be the songstress's ninth studio album, including The Lion King: The Gift project she recorded for the remake of Disney's The Lion King. She's sold 200 million albums worldwide. The songstress currently has 32 Grammys, more than any other entertainer.
