New York City Did It Big with a Posthumous 50th Birthday Celebration for Biggie!

The former lyricist, Biggie Smalls, would have turned 50 years old on May 21st, and New York City came out to posthumously celebrate him.

Although the Brooklyn rapper only made two studio albums before his life was cut short at age 24, he's considered a hip-hop legend. Therefore, Pepsi, Lexus, and Little Kim/Junior Mafia (Biggie's former musical proteges) came together to remember his life.

As a part of the celebration, Little Kim, Fat Joe, and more celebrities performed at the (B.I.G.) Dinner Gala at Guastavino's Restaurant. A host of celebrities and socialites attended and reminisced about his incredibly short but everlasting legacy in the entertainment industry.
