A Davenport, Iowa Little League baseball team was seen stuffing cotton-like material into their fellow black player's hair during the World Series game broadcasted on ESPN.

Reportedly the players put stuffing from a toy animal in their teammate's hair to imitate cotton. Little League officials reportedly stated there was no ill-intent by these actions. Since African Americans once picked cotton as enslaved people, innuendos or jokes regarding cotton and African Americans carry a cruel and racist undertone.

Many are in disbelief that the team's coaches allowed this behavior to air on national television.
