82-Year-Old Walmart Employee Retires After TikTok Video Raises Over 100K in GoFundMe Account

An 82-year-old Walmart employee, Butch Marion, has retired from work, thanks to social media. TikTok user Rory McCarthy took notice of the elderly employee while shopping and created a video asking his TikTok followers to donate money to Butch's GoFundMe on December 17th. The video received over 3 million views.

When this article was published, Butch's GoFundMe totaled $124,440 from over 5,000 donations. He reportedly worked his final day at Walmart and plans to spend the rest of his time visiting his children and grandchildren.
