21 Savage recently referred to Nas as "not relevant" in an interview. That statement has to be the furthest thing from the truth, as Nas is a rap legend. Nas, aka God's Son, aka Escobar, has held his relevance in hip-hop for 30 years. He has longevity. His name holds value. He's a king!
Nas' debut album Illmatic received so much acclaim it got inducted into the Library of Congress's National Recording Registry. In celebration of the album, he performed with the National Symphony Orchestra in 2018 at the Kennedy Center. In 2020, after nearly thirty years in the rap game, his album King's Disease won a Grammy. The New York lyricist has sold 25 million albums worldwide. The hip-hop star has Mass Appeal Records and newfound media work, such as his relationship with the ShowTime Network, where he directed the documentary Supreme Team. God's Son is officially documented as a millionaire. In addition to his earnings from his music career, he made a healthy investment with the doorbell company Ring, which Amazon bought for $1.1 billion!
Now that's solid and relevant!
