Yung Miami discussed her past relationship with Sean "Diddy" Combs during a recent interview with Charlamagne tha God. She shared her reasons for supporting Diddy amid the serious allegations that accompanied his recent criminal trial, which included sex trafficking, fraud, and prostitution.
Despite the grave accusations made against Combs, the Miami rapper said Combs never mistreated her. She said the entertainment mogul provided her with new experiences, helped her career grow, treated her like a queen, and encouraged her to believe in herself. Because of this, Miami said she couldn't "kick" him while he was down and chose to support him.
Before Diddy's sentencing in 2025, Miami wrote a character letter to the judge. Although a video had surfaced showing Combs physically assaulting his former girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, who testified against him, Yung Miami explained that she believed she was writing on the behalf of a "changed man." She explained, "I can only judge a person off of what I know." According to People, Miami shared that she, too, had been in physically abusive and toxic relationships, though not with Diddy. She admitted to being "deeply hurt and shocked" after watching the video of Diddy assaulting Cassie, saying, "That was not my experience at all."
Nevertheless, the host of the Caresha Please podcast told Charlamagne that her brand suffered after she supported Combs. Miami said, "It was a lot, I lost deals, I lost money, I lost relationships, I lost a lot!"
When Charlamagne asked her if she was concerned about being called to testify in Combs' trial, she confidently replied, “No, I never did nothing, I don’t have nothing to hide.”
