It's standard routine for the President of the United States and the First Lady to invite athletic champions to the White House to celebrate their accomplishments. Yet, Jill Biden would also like to make a concession and invite this year's NCAA basketball champions, LSU, and the runner-ups, Iowa.
While speaking in Colorado, the FLOTUS Jill Biden said, "I know we'll have the champions come to the White House; we always do. So, we hope LSU will come. But, you know, I'm going to tell Joe I think Iowa should come, too, because they played such a good game."
LSU's sophomore standout player Angel Reese, who has been the talk of the final game after a controversial gesture that she made toward's Iowa's Caitlin Clark, responded to the FLOTUS' comments on Twitter by saying, "A JOKE," along with posting a trio of crying-laughing emojis.
This year's tournament was among the most watched, attended, controversial, and significant sporting events in women's college sports history.
