According to ABC 7 NY, Saturday night's concert set the record for the most tickets sold for a concert at Yankee Stadium, with 45,832 tickets sold. This broke the record Jay-Z had set just the night before.
The show was star-studded and filled with memorable musical surprises. Jay-Z's daughter, Blue Ivy, played the piano during one of the performances. Other notable artists, including Alicia Keys, Nas, Eminem, Rihanna, Pharrell Williams, Slick Rick, and Teyana Taylor, joined him throughout the weekend. Usher and Young Jeezy, who were also on tour, took a break from their schedules to perform alongside Brooklyn’s own.

Despite receiving rounds of applause during the show, the rap legend faced criticism for comments he made about former NFL player Colin Kaepernick. Kaepernick was criticized for taking a knee during a game to protest police brutality, and he ultimately left the NFL after receiving a multi-million-dollar settlement. In response to criticism regarding his partnership with Target for an album deal, Jay-Z said, "Buddy took a check, I ain't even mad at him, but along with that check you have to sign a non-disparagement. I'm the one they can't control."

This statement sparked mixed reactions on social media. One Instagram user remarked, "He really shouldn't have mentioned Kap because he's still out here doing God's work. That lil quip isn't gonna work out the way Shawn thought it would." Another Instagram user said, "Talk that shit HOV."

Due to security issues, the final show reportedly did not start until nearly midnight on its final night, and ended around 3 AM—New Yorkers were still still pleased with their legend. Many celebrities, such as Kelly Rowland, Megan Thee Stallion, Vanessa Bryant, Dave Chapelle, LeBron James, and Fat Joe were spotted in the audience. Many proud New Yorkers attended to celebrate this milestone in music history.
