Floyd Mayweather's long-time assistant and business partner, Marikit "Kitchie" Laurico, has died at the age of 47 after returning home from an international trip.

Upon her return from international travel, Kitchie reportedly mentioned that she was not feeling well. Although it is rumored that she died from a heart attack, the official cause of death has yet to be determined.

Her family shared a statement on social media about her passing: “On March 31, 2023, our brilliant star Kitchie abandoned the physical garment…the angels of Thy loving-kindness descended successively upon her and have ascended her to the spiritual world…We are grateful for your patience and honoring our privacy…With humility, The siblings and parents of Kitchie Laurico.”

Kitchie was deeply involved in many aspects of Mayweather's life, career, and the operations of The Money Team brand. Floyd described her as a "selfless" person who always had his back. He acknowledged that Kitchie knew his deepest secrets and supported him through challenging times. In an appearance on The Pivot podcast, Floyd stated, "There was no male or female in my life that I told more stuff to than her".

As Floyd's marketing manager, Kitchie handled nearly all aspects of the superstar's life and often traveled the world alongside the champion.
