Dwyane Wade Petitions the Courts to Legally Change His Child Zaya Wade’s Name & Gender

Dwyane Wade has petitioned the courts to legally change the name and gender of his 15-year-old child Zaya Wade. Zaya was born as a male, Zion Wade, but for years, he’s been identifying as a female. Wade advises that he wishes to do what’s in the best interest of his child.

Dwyane and his wife, Gabrielle Union, have had custody of Zaya for several years following Dwayne’s divorce from his first wife, Siohvaughn, Zaya’s mother.
