Drake Is Court Ordered To Complete a Deposition for XXXTentacion's Murder Trial

Although three suspects are on trial for the murder of 20-year-old rapper XXXTentacion, legally known as Jahseh Onfroy, defense attorneys attempt to implicate Drake in the rapper's death. The attorneys pointed out that a feud existed between Drake and the Florida musician before his death and felt that Drake was not thoroughly investigated as a murder suspect. After reportedly missing a January deposition, Drake is required to complete a deposition on February 24.

Roughly four months before his death, XXX made an Instagram statement about Drake: "If anyone tries to kill me, it was @champagnepapi." However, the slain rapper later said his account was hacked, and he wasn’t behind the post. In June 2018, XXX was ambushed and killed in his BMW while he and his friend left RIVA Motorsports in Deerfield Beach, Florida. Two suspects were later seen on camera following him through the dealership. The camera footage also showed the 20-year-old being gunned down by multiple shooters. A bag of $50,000 was also stolen from his car during the murder.

Florida authorities later charged Robert Allen, Michael Boatwright, Dedrick Williams, and Trayvon Newsome with first-degree murder in his death. Robert Allen has taken a plea deal and has testified against his co-defendants. The other defendants are currently on trial.

Stay tuned for later news on this story.
