Chicago News Crew Robbed at Gunpoint While Reporting a Story About Multiple Robberies

According to multiple sources, two Chicago news crew members, a reporter and a photographer, were robbed at gunpoint around 5 a.m. on North Milwaukee Avenue while working on a story. The team was allegedly reporting about a series of robberies in the city fo Chicago when they were accosted.


According to USA TODAY, Chicago police spokesperson Kellie Bartoli said, "The assault involved a 28-year-old man and a 42-year-old man, who were outside on the street when a black SUV and a gray sedan approached them." Bartoli also stated, "When both vehicles stopped, police reported, three unidentified males exited both vehicles wearing ski masks and holding firearms. The offenders then took the victims' belongings before returning to the vehicles and fleeing southbound." Thankfully, no one was injured.
