Rapper-turned-actor Kaalan Walker, who is well known for his role in the 2017 remake of SuperFly, has been found guilty of multiple counts of rape.
His trial took place in Van Nuys, California. Kaalan was found guilty of three counts of forcible rape, one count of assault to commit oral rape, and two counts of statutory rape and rape by intoxication. The 27-year-old actor reportedly connected with his victims via social media, offering them promises to work in the entertainment industry.
Teenage girls were allegedly among some of his victims. Walker is sentenced to 50 years in prison, although his legal team contends that the rape allegations are not valid. Per USA TODAY, the actor's attorney said, "Walker maintains his innocence" and "did not receive a fair trial as the Court excluded many important issues."
