Rachel King, an English teacher at Grover Cleveland Elementary in Philadelphia, was murdered in the drive-thru lane at a Dunkin' Donuts location near downtown Philadelphia Tuesday morning. Unfortunately, her 11-year-old son was in the backseat and witnessed the crime.

Philadelphia authorities say they believe the 35-year-old mother and teacher were targeted; they do not believe this was a random slaying. According to ABC7, the local prosecutor said the suspected gunman appears to be a Black man with a thin build who was driving a light-colored sedan, possibly a Ford or Mercury. The prosecutor also shared that Rachel was followed by this vehicle.

Her school (Grover Cleveland Elementary) shared the following message about her death with FOX29: "We send our deepest condolences to her family and loved ones. We are devastated by the loss of an extraordinary teacher who spent the last ten years working with our students and their families."
