Woman arrested for shooting at Rihanna's home was charged with attempted murder and has an obsession with Rihanna and other entertainers

The alleged shooter at Rihanna's Beverly Hills estate, Ivana Ortiz, 35, was arrested yesterday and has been charged with attempted murder for shooting an AR-15 rifle at the star's residence while she and her family were home. Surveillance videos show Rihanna and her family leaving the property after the incident.

Ortiz appears to have an unhealthy obsession with the pop star. Videos and social media posts have surfaced online from the shooter’s social media accounts, in which she claimed Riri was a "witch" who was “stealing” from her, “jealous” of her, and had the  “devil’s face.” On YouTube, she stated, The alleged shooter at Rihanna's Beverly Hills estate, Ivana Ortiz, 35, was arrested yesterday and charged with attempted murder for firing an AR-15 rifle at the star's residence while she and her family were home. Ortiz seems to have an unhealthy obsession with the pop star. Videos and social media posts have emerged from Ortiz’s accounts, in which she claimed that Rihanna was a "witch" who was “stealing” from her, "jealous" of her, and had the “devil’s face.” On YouTube, she stated, “I don’t like her, and she’s always trying to steal from me. And she has not ever put out any music to reach people. She only put out her little music so she could do witchcraft." Ortiz continued, “And so that she can steal from people. So, everybody, please stop, don’t listen to her, don’t follow her, because she’s stealing from you. Ortiz continued, urging others not to listen to or follow Rihanna, claiming, “She’s stealing from you." She aligned herself with God and suggested that Rihanna and the Devil are "very loud."

The suspect also made derogatory remarks about Cardi B and Kim Kardashian in some of her social media posts. The shooting at Rihanna’s residence is not Ortiz’s first arrest; according to the New York Post, she was previously charged with committing violence against her ex in front of their child.

Furthermore, Ortiz appears to harbor additional animosity toward the music industry. Yahoo reported that court documents indicate she had previously lived at addresses in Orlando. In October, Ortiz filed an emergency petition against the City of Orlando, promoter Live Nation, and singer Billie Eilish concerning a planned concert at the Kia Center.

Ortiz’s bail is reportedly set at $10.2 million. Authorities have taken her into custody at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Los Angeles.
