Writer's picture: Volume 82 MagazineVolume 82 Magazine

The rapper Rick Ross, legally known as William Roberts II, has ten Wing Stop restaurants. He reportedly pays his employees less than the minimum wage at his Mississippi locations. His company, Boss Wings Enterprises LLC, is also under fire for forcing its employees to pay for training, uniforms, background checks, and cash register shortages. According to the Department of Labor, some of its locations have also violated child labor laws with work hours for minors.

Ross has been fined more than $100,000, owes more than $51,000 in back wages, and has to pay more than $62,000 in civil penalties. He has yet to respond to these claims publicly.
