After Drake reportedly asked Halle Berry to use her "slime" photo from the Children's Choice Awards to promote his new single with SZA, "Slime You Out," the Oscar Award-winning actress said no, and Drake used the image anyway! Halle Berry responded to Drake's decision to use her photo with the following statement on Instagram, "Sometimes you have to be the bigger guy...even if you're a woman!"
Several Instagram followers chimed in on her post regarding the situation with the following remarks, per E Entertainment, "When a user asked the actress for her thoughts on Drake using the photo of her, Halle commented on her own page, "Hence my post today. When people you admire disappoint you, you have to be the bigger person and move on!"
Another user pointed out that the photo of Halle belongs to Getty Images, stating, "While I do understand your side. That photo is owned by Getty Images. So im sure he got their permission. And paid the fee. 🙌🏼 why you mad?" The actress also commented, "He did have his people call my people and I said NO. I didn't like that image of slime all over my face in association with his song. And he chose to do it anyway! You see...that is the disrespect. Not cool!"
The song's first verse opens with the following lyrics: "You bitches really get carried away
Makin' mistakes, then you beg me to stay
Got me wiggin' on you like I'm Arrogant Tae
You got my mind in a terrible place
Whipped and chained you like American slaves
Act like you not used to Sheraton stays
I met the nigga you thought could replace
How were there even comparisons made?
Bitch, next time, I swear on my grandmother grave
I'm slimin' you for them kid choices you made. "The song will be released on the rapper's upcoming project All the Dogs, which will be released this week on Sept. 22.
