Cardi B's new haircare brand, Grow Good, sold out in the first 24 hours of its release.
The rapper's vegan haircare brand promises effective results, with Cardi confirming that she tested the products on her own hair before launching them. After struggling to care for her natural hair, the "Bodak Yellow" singer began her hair-growth journey in 2016 and has since managed to grow her hair down to her lower back.

The Bronx rapper shared that growing long hair used to be a challenge. However, she attributes her long and healthy tresses to using boiled onion water and a homemade hair mask that has been passed down from her Dominican family. After previously sharing the recipe for her hair mask—which includes ingredients such as avocados, mayonnaise, bananas, eggs, honey, argan oil, castor oil, and olive oil—she decided to refine the ingredients and create a product for public sale.

While discussing Grow-Good, she reminisced about her mother applying the hair mask to her head when she was a child and said, "When I was little, I really used to hate that my mom would leave this hair mask on me for 3 or 4 hours—so I'm walking around going to the store with a damn bodega bag on my head." Cardi explained that she uses the treatments on her children's hair too!

Currently, the brand offers six products, including masks, serums, shampoos, and conditioners. The entertainer stated her ambition for widespread availability, saying on the Aspire with Emma Grede podcast, "I want my product to be in every single store!"
The Grammy Award winning artist revealed to Elle that she's spent three years developing the product. She stated, "This is not something that I slapped my name on. This is not something that I worked on for just a year. Grow-Good is something that I was cursing people out [about] every single day. People who work with me probably hate me right now because I tested this product so many times." She expressed a desire to create a product that caters to all hair types, stating, "I really wanted people to understand that we all have different types of hair. I learned that [early in life] because my sister and I and my mom have different hair textures."
