A Russian court found WNBA star Brittney Griner guilty of drug possession and sentenced her to nine years in prison. The Biden administration is negotiating with Russia to bring Brittney home in exchange for a Russian prisoner in United States custody.

She’s been detained for six months after being caught in the Moscow airport with less than a gram of cannabis oil (.702 grams) in her luggage. Griner’s case came at a very inopportune time, considering the current political climate between Russia and America. We truly hope for a quick resolution in this matter. Our prayers are with Brittney at this time.
