Boxer Gervonta Davis Arrested for Domestic Violence: He Claims His Innocence via Instagram Photos

Professional boxer Gervonta Davis was arrested in Parkland, Florida, for domestic violence and battery after allegedly hitting his girlfriend, Vanessa Posso, on the side of the head at his home. The boxer was released from the Broward County Jail on a $1,000 bond.

An incident report supposedly states that Vanessa suffered minor bruising and abrasion. Gervonta Davis has professed his innocence via social media. He said he plans to clear his name. He recently shared photos via his Instagram 'story' that showed feces smeared on his toothbrush and mirror and spit on his face. Gervonta is released on bond. However, a 911 call surfaced of Vanessa asking for help and saying she feared for her life.

In January, the lightweight fighter is scheduled to battle Hector Luis Garcia on the Showtime network. Showtime has not canceled the event due to his arrest as of yet.
