Adult Film Star Kagney Linn Karter Died From Suicide After Allegedly Battling Depression

Adult film star Kagney Linn Karter, 36, was found dead by an apparent suicide in her home in Cuyahoga County, Ohio. According to multiple news sources, a suicide note was found after authorities discovered she died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the mouth. 

Complex Magazine reports the actress suffered from depression. According to Complex, her friends and colleagues started a GoFundMe and wrote an emotional statement about her battle with mental health; "Even in her darkest days, however, she still showed up to the studio, always ready to learn, contribute, better herself in whatever small way she could manage. As alone as she undoubtedly felt within the confines of her own head, she continued to make an effort to show up for her friends and the community who cared about her. She fought her own battles with the same tenacity and drive she showed in every other area of her life, with as much strength as she could."

Details of the suicide note were not released to the public. Karter's suicide came days after she posted a beach selfie on Instagram. She was reportedly active in fitness and pole dancing and started a pole dancing studio in Akron, Ohio, according to NDTV.
